Extreme Weather Notes
Droughts & Floods: Spring thaws can lead to flash flooding in mountainous valleys. Conversely, summer droughts are common and can lead to severe dust storms.
Altitude: High-altitude regions like Bamiyan remain cold much longer than the southern plains of Kandahar.
